Breastfeeding, pumping, bottles, milk supply, weaning…these are all topics that new parents are concerned about. You want to get your baby off to the best start, and for most American parents that means giving breastfeeding their best shot. Infant feeding can come with a steep learning curve, as well as many challenges such as latching, soreness, and clogged milk ducts.
Your best bet for meeting your personal breastfeeding goals is an in-home visit from an international board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). Your IBCLC is equipped to determine if there is a breastfeeding issue, and if so, share methods to solve it. An IBCLC is also the appropriate resource if your baby is struggling to gain weight or has a medical issue and requires a combination feeding plan.
Our lactation consulting staff are international board-certified lactation consultants, or IBCLCs. Their training, drive, and professionalism are combined with kindness, compassion, and non-judgmental listening to help you feel confident and relaxed as you learn how to breastfeed.
